Kirstie,

I wanted to make sure you had received my previous e-mail. I apologize for the resend but I've been getting caught in spam filters and wanted to make sure your message was caught there. I believe all the previous issues have been resolved.

Subject: Faith and Freedom Coalition in Virginia

Hello Kirstie

My name is Travis Korson and I am currently the Virginia Field Director for the Faith and Freedom Coalition. I'm not sure if you have heard of FFC (http://www.ffcoalition.com/) before but the organization has a mission to promote limited government, free markets, traditional values and a strong national defense. As a grassroots leader with the Poquson Tea Party I wanted to reach out to you about some initiatives we will be promoting in your state during the upcoming months that I thought you may be interested in collaborating on with us.

First, I wanted to make you aware of our Road to Majority Conference on June 13-15 in Washington, DC where we will host over 2,000 grassroots activists from across the country. The purpose is to energize, train, and equip top activists and chapter leaders on voter registration voter education, get-out-the-vote, lobbying their legislature, dealing with the media, building a precinct organization, and utilizing social media to mobilize supporters. Past speakers include: Sean Hannity, Sen. Marco Rubio, Gov. Scott Walker, Donald Trump, Sen. Rand Paul, Sen. Rick Santorum and Glenn Beck among others. I would be more than happy to offer free admission for you if you are able to help recruit your membership. I could also arrange the friends and family discount for those over 24, (a 50% discount off the normal registration fee) and offer a special promotional code for your under 24 members to help defray costs and incentivize them to attend. Registration and more information about the conference can be found at www.roadtomajority.eventbrite.com and on Facebook as well.

Second, I wanted to make you aware of the Citizen Action Seminars we are hosting throughout the state. We have one in the Virginia Beach area on Tuesday, April 16 and would be more than happy to host you and your membership.  The event will take place from 6:00-9:00pm on Tuesday, April 16 at the Best Western Oceanfront 2809 Atlantic Ave. Virginia Beach, VA 23451. These events are free and open to the public and are a great way to learn more about FFC grassroots organizing.

Last, I wanted to let you know that the Faith and Freedom Coalition will also be starting conservative get-out-the-vote efforts this summer and through the fall for the Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General races. We will be opening 4-5 offices across the state (we are still working on physical addresses but they will likely be in the Arlington, Richmond, Virginia Beach and Lynchburg areas) where we have a goal of making 1,000,000 voter contacts through a combination of door knocks, phones and voter guide distribution. We are looking for grassroots leaders that might be interested in helping start local chapters of FFC, distribute voter guides to churches and local political groups and help recruit volunteers to work GOTV efforts at our offices and in the community.

I look forward to speaking with you further about your organization, as well as Faith and Freedom Coalition's efforts and opportunities for our two groups to work together. I would be happy to meet in person or set up a phone call, whichever works better for you. If you are interested, I would be more than happy to speak at your group's meeting as well. Please don't hesitate to contact me at any time either by responding to this e-mail or calling me at 401-323-9085.

Warmest Regards,

A Role Model For Today's Leaders

R.I.P Margaret Thatcher (1925-2013)

Friend,

This week
the world lost one of the one of its greatest leaders. Margaret Thatcher was not only the greatest peacetime Prime Minister in British history but she was a conservative icon whose fearless leadership against socialism in all its forms earned her the nickname "The Iron Lady."

Here in America we revere her in the same way her countrymen do. She was a staunch U.S. ally and her partnership with President Ronald Regan was legendary. Her time as Prime Minister offers scores of lessons that members of Congress would be wise to emulate.

The Contract From America aims to be a transformational document that will have the same impact on our government as Lady Thatcher's did in Britain. The principles of small government, low taxes and a rejection of the left wing policies that continue to hurt our great nation are at the heart of the CFA and that were championed in 1980's Britain.

If we expect to live up to her example, we must continue to grow and nurture the Contract From America and bring on more signers and support. That begins with you. Make a donation today to continue the legacy of conservative leadership that Margaret Thatcher embodied.

We can put America back on the path to prosperity by getting back to proven basics, and by rallying around the Contract we will do just that. Please honor Lady Thatcher's conservative legacy by making an investment in creating a new one for America!

Will the CFA Bring Another Member to Congress?

Sanford Wins South Carolina Run-Off & Signs The CFA

Friends,

On Tuesday night we learned that former South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford won the Republican nomination in
South Carolina's 1st congressional district by beating attorney Curtis Bostic in a run-off election. This race was unique in that it featured two capable candidates who both stepped up and signed the Contract From America.

This result sends an unmistakeable message to the rest of the country as Gov. Sanford heads toward the general election: The American people are watching every race closely from here on out, and they demand constitutional accountability! Grassroots conservatives all across the country know that the Contract From America is the key to making sure that ALL members of elected office stay true to the oaths they take.

To ensure that the Contract continues to get the exposure and grassroots activism it needs to be as successful as it has been in South Carolina's 1st, we need your help!

Thus far you have been outstanding in providing financial support to help the Contract grow in scope and influence. But now it's the "campaign off season", and funding is more critical than ever to maintain our growth ahead of the next election! Please make a donation today to help bring more candidates in special elections on board with the Contract and to make sure signers in Washington are staying true to their signature!

The congressional race in South Carolina's 1st district is a great win for the CFA but it is something that we must use to build off of, not just sit back on. Will you donate $7 today to help us keep the momentum alive? We can't do this without you!

How Would You Like Personal Finance Lessons From Obama?

Welcome to Obama's National Financial Capability Month!

Friends,

Yep, you read that right. President Barack Obama, the man who has racked up historic levels of debt, now wants a month dedicated to improving financial responsibility and helping young people budget responsibly.

Although the President and his administration have racked up debt to the tune of over $53,300 per family, he still believes he can lecture the American people on spending and savings. Irony aside, grassroots conservatives all over the country are rising up demanding that the President worry less about how we budget our personal finances, and more about passing a belt-tightening budget himself.

This move by the administration is indicative of the entire culture of Washington. The "do as I say, not as I do" attitude coming from the federal government has sent our economy spiraling out of control.

We need more emphasis on the core principles found in the Contract From America, and demand that those in D.C. listen to us and not their egos! To continue building the support network to make this possible, we need your help! Donate today and let's begin to rid our government of the arrogance that has become a cancer in Washington.

We are the ones who should be teaching Washington how to balance its checkbook and not the other way around. If you agree with us, then let your voice be heard and make a donation today!
