Eric Cantor "Dishonors the Founders" Says Challenger

Good morning,

My name is John Bennett, and I'm a writer whose work appears in the Daily Caller, Townhall.com, and World Net Daily (and also a Virginia native).
 
I hope you enjoy this article on the controversial comment made by Eric Cantor that "One of the great founding principles of our country was that children would not be punished for the mistakes of their parents.”

That statement is picked apart by Dave Brat, as well as several conservative historians.
If Cantor actually believes what he is saying, then he's logically opposed to immigration enforcement period.
When parents have to answer for the consequences of their actions, children are often affected. That's a reason for parents to follow the law, not a reason to violate the law or cheapen American citizenship.
